Town and Country Campers is a dealer of LODGE cast iron cookware.
We carry several different sizes of Dutch Ovens to meet all your needs. If you've
never tried cooking in a Dutch Oven we'll be glad to show you our pictures
and walk you thru the process. It's easy and everything will
taste even better than what you cook at home in your kitchen oven.
We'll provide a Dutch Oven recipe of the month and, if you're really
lucky, we'll be cooking and sharing when you drop by.
January Recipe of the Month
Hot Pineapple Pudding
1 large can crushed pineapple in juice
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
4 slices bread, cut into bite size pieces
2/3 cup sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tbls flour
Heat 32 pieces of charcoal.
Grease a 12" Dutch oven.
Pour pineapple with juice on bottom of dutch oven.
Top with melted butter and bread pieces. Mix to combine.
Add sugar, flour and eggs and mix again.
Place 14 coals under and 18 on top of Dutch oven.
Bake for 30-40 minutes. Do Not Brown.
Serve warm with whipped cream, frozen yogurt or ice cream. Serves 6
